Suitable models for precision aerobatics 

Quite often fellow modelers asks me where to get suitable models for F3A. For the easier schedules the requirements of the model are more modest which makes it easier to find a competitive model.  For F3A it's a bit more tricky to find them.   The list of links below may help those out looking.  Here are the ones that I am aware of, most prbably there are meny more !                  Be aware that the focus is on European suppliers !

Creator of world-class models made of fiberglass / Aramid / Carbon fuselages, and conventional balsa-sheeted foam-core wings.  Planes available includes : Alliance, Evolis XXL, Enigma, HydeAway, Synergy, Supreme, Suxess etc.  Company is located partly in France and Belgium.

 

Wolfgang Lorentz sells a huge range of composite models, some with foam-core wings, others with full composite moulded wings.   

 

Delro has launched a couple of interesting models for el-powered F3A.  They also has quite a few quality kits for large aerobatic scale-models.

 

This Spanish manufacturer has a couple of fine models, the kits seem to be of excellent quality.  Pricing and quality is competitive.

 

PAF is most known for their gliders, but also has a couple of F3A models in their range.  Most are of the old school, but not all.

 

Vladimir  Kozlovski in Russia is manufacturing the model Angels Shadow.  The availability is limited, which is understandable taking the amount of work to make them into consideration. It seems that Noel Barrett from Ireland has got the European distribution.  

 

ProBuild in UK is supplying equipment and services to the F3A community. Included are a couple of models from their own production.

Elation has a few modeles from their own production, the Zephyr is the biggest.  Good prices !

 

Krill is most known for their bigger models, but the Spark is now beeing used by several top pilots.

 

Protech has quite a few models suitable for those who want to try pattern-type flying.

BN-Models from Turkey has a couple of nice entry-level models, and some equipment.

 

Contra-rotating propellor-drive for electrics, etc.

 

 

Bernt Olsson supplies F3A related equipment and models.

The Chinese company Oxai makes a few completely finished F3A-models, their Impression was flown by at least one of the Chinese team on WC 2003 .  The quality seems to be very good. They have now got an European agent.

Chinese World Models have a huge range of ARF models, including a couple of entry- to intermediate- level F3A models. Available in Norway from Norwegian Modellers

Yes, Hirobo most know for helicopters also make some F3A type of airplanes.

 

CM-Pro has a few entry level models.

 

Again, some nice entry-level airplanes.

 

It should not be necessary to introduce Naruke.
